We worship the living Christ in both contemporary and traditional, liturgical services.
WORSHIP SCHEDULE
- Saturday contemporary worship @ 5:00pm
- Summer Sunday worship @ 9:30 am; fellowship following the service.
- During season we gather for worship at 8:00 and 10:30 AM each Sunday morning.
WHAT TO EXPECT
All of the worship experiences at Gloria Dei follow the format of:
Gathering - coming together to be the
church in here
Word - biblical readings and a shared message
Meal - celebration of Holy Communion
Sending - blessed to be
the church out there
Children of all ages are welcome at worship. We have activity bags and children's sermons at the Sunday morning service. Nursery care is also available on Sunday.
Large print bulletins are available upon request at all of our regularly scheduled worship services.
SATURDAY 5 PM CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP
We gather informally on Saturday evenings at 5:00 PM for worship, singing, prayer, and praise. Come as you are and share in this celebration with Holy Communion.
Our service features contemporary music led by keyboard and guitars, inspirational teaching, and meaningful prayer for a truly spiritual worship experience.
SUNDAY 9:30 AM
Using a variety of resources that stand in the tradition of contemporary Lutheran liturgy, the congregation, pastor, choir, and musicians gather at 9:30 AM to share the Sacraments and celebrate their common life in Christ.
Join us for a season of Christian Fellowship following worship each week in the Fellowship Hall.
All who desire to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion are welcome at God's table. Those who have not received instruction at First Holy Communion are welcome to come forward and receive God's blessing. Grape juice and gluten free wafers are available for those who may be allergic upon request to the Communion Assistant.
SEASONAL WORSHIP
For the seasons of Advent (four weeks before Christmas) and Lent (from Ash Wednesday through Holy Week) we gather for a light meal and worship using the Holden Evening Prayer Service.
Special services are held for Thanksgiving and Christmas are held whenever they fall on the calendar.
